About me
Hi I’m John, I can provide manual driving lessons in Ayr, Prestwick, Trion and surrounding areas within Ayrshire. I have a passion for teaching life-long driving skills and promoting road safety My goal is not just to prepare students to pass their driving test, but to equip them with the confidence and skills to stay safe on the road for life.

Before becoming a Driving Instructor, I served as a Police Officer and Emergency Response Driver, giving me extensive training in Road Safety, Advanced Driving Techniques and Education. My decision to transition into instruction was inspired by the experience of teaching my own daughters to drive. The skills and knowledge I’ve gained throughout my career provide me with a unique perspective and the ideal foundation to be an exceptional instructor.

I understand that learning to drive can feel intimidating, which is why I’m committed to making the process enjoyable and stress-free. My calm, patient approach ensures that students feel supported every step of the way. If you’re looking for a relaxed and friendly learning environment, I’m the instructor for you.

I was trained by LDC, using their latest Coaching Techniques, ensuring that the training you receive is of the highest standard. I chose to work with LDC because their flexible, student-centred approach allows each lesson to be tailored to your pace and needs, making learning both effective and enjoyable.

I live in Prestwick with my wife Kirsty, our two daughters Chloe and Brooke, and our Maltipoos, Bailey and Barley, who keep me on my toes!
